Scaffolding

Always take care if you are erecting scaffolding on frozen or soft ground.

The setting up and dismantling of scaffolding should only and always be done under direct supervision of somebody knowledgeable, competent, and very experienced in the matter.

Scaffoldings are structures that are temporarily erected for repair, construction or decoration of commercial buildings, homes or other edifices.

No matter whether you are erecting, moving or dismantling scaffolding. ALWAYS WARE A HARD HAT!

There are two primary categories of scaffolding, fixed and mobile.

You must secure the scaffolding to the building if the scaffolding height exceeds four times the minimum base width.

When carrying out any work or maintenance to any building which is adjacent to a public highway, then the safety of all users of the highway must be paramount.

Scaffolding is always necessary when existing physical structures need to be modified.

Although it may seem to do so, scaffolding doesn't actuary support the building.

If erecting scaffolding on a soft or suspect ground place sole boards underneath the structure. Ordinary boards could be used, however, they tend to be too long.
