Indoor Scaffolding
Facts, Hints & Tips

Indoor Scaffolding

Indoor scaffolding is ideal for getting to those hard to reach places when it comes to interior decorating.

Make sure all planks and walk boards are at least 36 inches below the highest point of any portable scaffolding.

It is essential that a construction site is accident free. Always employ trained people to erect scaffolding as well as making sure that all safety measures are in place.

Scaffoldings are structures that are temporarily erected for repair, construction or decoration of commercial buildings, homes or other edifices.

Never cut corners when erecting DIY scaffolding by leaving out cross braces or out riggers which give stability to the structure.

Scaffolding is fairly easy to erect and shorter towers can even be set up by two unskilled people. In most instances though, when scaffolding is being used on the construction or remodeling of a tall building, only trained professionals are allowed to erect the towers.

It is estimated that 65% of those employed in the construction industry frequently work on scaffolds.

It is the responsibility of the scaffolding hire company to obtain a license for any scaffold that is put up on the highway including the pavement.

Skimping on price can be costly both economically and emotionally if there were to be an injury or death due to improper or faulty scaffolding.

Any company found to be in violation of scaffolding regulations is likely to be issued with a fine by OSHA.
