Don't - forget to wash all your tools and buckets once you are finished otherwise you will make it harder for yourself the next time.

There are many different types of plaster, the two main ones being gypsum based and cement based.

When plastering materials with differing absorption, it is a good idea to key the surfaces to be plastered with a PVA bonding sealer.

As soon as you have mixed the plaster you should empty it out of the bucket onto a wet board which should be lifted off the ground high enough to enable you to get your plaster onto your hand board (hawk) easily.

External rendering should be started on the shady side of the building to keep it unexposed to the sun as long as possible.

Plastering jobs are not difficult for a plasterer to find, because it requires special skills and plastering jobs are required all the time.

Drywall plastering is used to finish interior walls. But you have to be careful to choose the right type of plastering for the right location, as there are different types.

Pebble dash or roughcast is a form of external plastering often seen and used for country houses.

Plastering is largely a matter of confidence and you may prefer to start in a low-pressure environment first before hitting your own walls for the first time.

Drywall Plastering is often replaced with other forms of traditional plastering because it is labor intensive and expensive as well.
